Forge Hill Recycling is the first fully computerised sorting plants in Ireland to utilise 100% positive optical sorting technology on all material recycled. We have a processing capability of 300 tonnes per day. There are many features to the FHR plant which set us apart in the industry.
Our plant has the ability to segregate fibre and plastic of different grades and colours automatically using the latest optical sensors technology, and we are attempting to develop process responses to new and different plastics on an ongoing basis. All these features lead to improvements in recycling rates in the constant push for excellence, to reduce costs and maximise the sustainability of the business. The high specification plant has the ability to recover more and different plastics packaging. Additionally FHR can adjust the process on a continuous basis to switch between different plastics in response to the market.
